Dried bananas are not only a tasty treat, but also a valuable way to diversify the diets of rabbits, rodents and parrots. They naturally contain simple sugars and a broad range of vitamins and minerals, making them a convenient energy-dense addition when offered in moderation.

Banana chips provide:

• a natural source of energy – ideal during periods of increased activity,
• potassium to support healthy heart and muscle function,
• B vitamins, especially B6, which supports the nervous system,
• vitamin C to support immune function,
• dietary fibre to aid digestion and support bowel regularity,
• naturally occurring magnesium to help maintain electrolyte balance and reduce muscle tension.

Regular, but limited feeding can support the circulatory system and kidneys and contribute to overall wellbeing. Due to the naturally high sugar content, this treat should be offered as an occasional reward. It is not suitable for degus or chinchillas, whose sensitive metabolism does not tolerate higher sugar intake.
